GIDRAIL: Smallthe city located in the vicinity of the huge northern desert.
Long ago, a small group of nomadic families lived in the deserts north of the continent of Qatrik. Their families had lived in this desert for so many generations that they didn't know about the existence of the green fields, despite always following the same direction for decades, they never got anywhere, they remained trapped in the desert.
It turns out that a rare phenomenon occurs in this region, where the sense of direction does not exist, several mirages deceive those who dare to face the desert, and there are also several nocturnal creatures that can be the source of food and water for those in the desert, or vice versa. -versa.
A few decades ago walking in the desert, the wind brought a large resistant cotton fabric. While the families were deciding what to do with the material, the children ran around with the cotton on top of the dunes. When a strong wind made a child fly high into the air, he saw the entire expanse of the desert, but there was a region to the south that was green. After falling with the fabric in his hands, he informed his parents, who believed it was a mirage.
Some time passed, and one of the adults, Gil, designed a small boat with dry branches, tied using the leather of the creatures that attacked them at night and, thus, managed to create a faster means of transport, but one that depended on the wind. He said goodbye to his family and chose to travel alone in order to seek out this green region, and promised that he would return to his family in the future.
After hard walks carrying his equipment when there was no wind or when the wind was contrary to the region he knew he should follow, in a few months he managed to reach the green lands. He knew he couldn't take long to return, and so he continued following the land close to the sea until he arrived in Vila Velha.
After creating an uproar in the city center and explaining his situation, a traveler, Dário, was moved by Gil's despair. After feeding him and listening to his story in detail, he was unable to explain the desert phenomenon, but gave him a sextant and a compass, and also took him to meet an inventor, who promptly improved his “sail boat” for use again. in the desert.
Gil learned how to use the equipment and returned to the desert to look for his family, in addition, he took some papers to write down regions he had been to and also trying to understand the desert phenomenon.
The time it took to find his family and get them out of the desert took almost a decade.
When they saw the greenery and the sea for the first time, they named the inhospitable region Gil-Dário, and over time the younger ones began to quickly say “Gildráio”, and then “Gidráil”.
The family members didn't like the city of Vila Velha, as it flooded a lot when it rained and they didn't feel at home in the region, as it stank and they didn't get used to the odor. They returned to the entrance to the “desert of Gidrail” and founded their own city, with the help of Vila Velha they were successful in the plantations and alreadyno They needed to depend on the desert, but in order to never forget where they came from, as a rite of passage, young adults were supposed to spend a year in the desert with just what they had. This way, they would value everything they had in their small town. And it's like that to this day.
